Hye Meadow Winery was the perfect backdrop for Chelsea and Andy’s Texas Hill Country Wedding. The wide open spaces, giant yard games, and cozy dining nooks made it feel more like a backyard party with all of your favorite people. The girls got ready in a posh bridal suite, sipping on wine and listening to music, while the guys hung out near the barrel room trying to guess who would win the Kentucky Derby. All of the floral arrangements were particularly special because they were designed by the Bride’s mother, Lisa.
The sun was shining high, but we found the perfect spot for their first look, right under an old oak tree just out of sight from the guests who had started to arrive. Before we walked out, I jokingly asked Andy which of them was most likely to cry, and while he admitted that he would probably be the one to get emotional, it was hard for all of us to hold back tears as they caught their first glimpse of each other before the ceremony.
The bridal party and families joined us for a few portraits together, and then it was time for the real fun! The reception area was decorated with photos of Chelsea and Andy’s adventures together, the DJ had music playing over the speakers, and guests were being seated for the ceremony. A few of the groomsmen found an RTV to chauffeur the couple back to their suites, but before they could take off Andy showed off his socks because you absolutely must have cows being abducted by UFOs on your wedding day!
There is so much more to share, so be sure to check back in a few weeks for the rest of the story and even more photos from their gorgeous wedding day! #TheVerdictIsStewart
